Inspired by the fashion-forward Japanese city, OPI’s Tokyo Collection will get your nails primed for spring. Tokyo is known for giving birth to emerging beauty trends and each of the 12 shades included in the collection pays homage to Asian culture. Colors will be offered in OPI’s classic formulas including Infinite Shine, Nail Lacquer, and Gel Color.
All About Pops of Color
When you picture Tokyo’s distinct style, you likely envision pops of bold color. The colors featured in the OPI collection brings you back to the 1980s and 1990s while still honoring current color trends. Bold color choices in the collection include the shimmery purple Samurai Breaks a Nail, the coral Tempura-ture is Rising, and the teal Suzi-san Climbs Fuji-san.
Many of the shades were also inspired by the famed Harajuku neighborhood including the Hurry-Juku Get This Color, a dusty berry shade that looks fantastic when applied with the Infinite Shine formula.
Limited Editions
For the diehard nail enthusiasts, there are six collectible limited edition shades in the Tokyo Collection. These polishes include glitter finishes to make your nails sparkle and shine like never before. Standouts among the limited edition offerings are two-tone pink and silver Judo-n’t Say and the pink matte foil glitter Just Karate Kidding You.
Natural Inspiration
Another standout feature in the OPI Tokyo Collection is that the polishes are perfect for the season. With shades taken directly from nature, the colors are ideal for the warmer weather that is just around the corner. The pastel yellowish-green polish How Does Your Zen Garden Grow will be a top requested gel color at the salon. Kanpai OPI is another stunning pastel color choice and has a periwinkle appearance after two coats are applied. The collection does have a number of red and pink shades, evoking a rose garden feel. Highlights among these shades include Another Ramen-tic Evening, Rice Rice Baby, and Arigato from Tokyo.
Get your nails ready for spring by requesting one of the new shades from the OPI Tokyo Collection. The colors are a fantastic choice for traditional manicures or can easily be worked into your nail art styles. With only two to three coats of color, your OPI nail color will remain beautiful until your next nail appointment.
