With red carpet events few and far between these days, celebrity sightings are hard to come by. Yet the hairstylists to these stars are still providing endless amounts of inspiration to professional stylists and beauty students. Check out their Instagrams when you need fresh takes to spark your own imagination — and help you stay on-trend.

Frederic Aspiras

No one is more cutting edge than Lady Gaga, and a big part of her distinctive and ever-evolving look is due to Frederic Aspiras. As the official hairstylist for Haüs of Gaga, Aspiras is responsible for creating iconic looks for Gaga’s many appearances and performances. A specialist in wigs and extensions, Frederic Aspiras regularly posts photos of Lady Gaga and other clients in eye-popping colors created by painstakingly layering several shades. The results are shining, flowing tresses ranging from metallic pink to a blue-green “ocean blond.”

Kim Kimble

For too long, Black women didn’t have prominent stylists to look for the latest trends, but Kim Kimble helped change all that. She’s been the primary stylist on Beyonce’s projects, as well as created iconic looks for Oprah, Zendaya, Halle Berry and Brandy. Her Instagram page is chock full of photos, tips, and information about her latest natural hair care line. From styling braids to teaching classes on 1950s hairstyles for men and women of color, Kimble’s work is endlessly inventive in the realms of both natural hair and wig styling.

Anh Co Tran

Effortlessly chic is a style that many women try — and fail — to pull off on their own. But for help in this area, look to Anh Co Tran, who has trademarked his signature look, known as “lived-in texture.” A new take on “beachy waves,” lived-in texture has been favored by Tran clients like Jessica Alba and Emily Ratajkowski. On his Instagram, Tran even features cuts that work well with masks, along with versions of his lived-in texture look for all lengths of hair.

Tracey Cunningham

It doesn’t get much more star-studded than the Tracey Cunningham client list, and her ‘gram lets you pinpoint their latest looks. From tips on how to apply JLo’s blonde highlights to dishing about beauty house calls to Chrissy Teigan and John Legend, Cunningham’s Instagram is popping with glam celeb looks. As a Redken Creative Consultant for Color, Cunningham’s page reflects the rich, deep hues she creates for her clients — and gives step-by-step instructions on how to achieve many of them. Other Cunningham clients include Emma Stone, Charlize Theron, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Garner, Toni Collette, and Julianne Hough.
